After the recent news about smaller support for Gwent in 2023, and no official tournaments or content starting from 2024 we need to adjust our plans. We want to continue what we did until this point, but realistically with the expectations of the declining number of viewers on streams, readers of articles, and snapshots, we might need to cut some content that we do. Especially when looking into the far future. We read a lot of positive feedback from the community on Reddit, streams or Discord, that there are people interested in Gwent even when it will not have official support, and community-driven balance is enough to keep them interested in the game and community content. However those are only speculations, and we cannot be sure if those people will still be in Gwent next year, or even next month. So we want to ask everyone who values our content, can, and want to help the community team providing more content in the future to join our Patreon. This will give us a real grasp of the players interested in Gwent still in a way that is a little more than casual gaming. We will make our plans considering the number of Patreons we will have next month. We might be forced to adjust to reality.
Also as a reminder, our Patreons get early access to decks from the snapshot and our other content.
Listening to advice from readers we added more tiers (5) to choose from, not just one, and the lowest one includes now the most important feature (early access to decks).
On a positive note, we remind everyone to check our 25 days of Gwentmas event, a lot of stuff to read and watch there: interviews, articles, infographics, tier lists, summaries of 2022, crosswords, and so on, you can find the full list here and in a list on the right side.
Also, check our Meme snapshot for more fun decks.
Meta snapshot #34
[29.01] Release: 8 new decks, new ranking, new videos, new matchups & gameplan info.
The first season in the new 2023, looks really good to us.
Each faction has several different decks, with which you can easily and effectively climb the
ladder, and most importantly, none of them is significantly superior to the others.
We encourage you to read our regular Meta snapshot.
Sit back and choose your favorite faction without worrying about worse matchups.
For lovers of Temeria and Northern Realms, the period that everyone has been fighting for has come, it is currently the faction winning the title of the best.
On the ladder you can see various variants of priestesses and knights have been doing quite well for many seasons. I haven’t had the pleasure of playing a deck with Melitele, but as soon as we publish a snapshot for you guys, I’ll sit down and try this version as well.
Melting snow at many of us outside the window woke up the Dragon. In a fresh new deck, it
gains a chance to be the best monster deck by the hour. For lovers of less complicated
strategies, we offer devo frost and the already known deathwish.
Odd-hoofed relicts have appeared on the Skellige Isles, and they buffed one of my favorite
Of course, there is always a safer alternative in the form of already proven devo warriors.
In Scoia, solid harmony is in the lead, the longed-for leader has returned to favor, which has
established the archetype as one of the most proven.
As a rest from the already known list, I recommend checking movement with nekker, it is a
deck that has appeared in recent seasons, but in this one it has a real chance to really shine,
like this prismatic … oh wait.
Nilfgaard is still strongly about assimilation, Torres nerfs weakened many decks from this
faction, but it gave the opportunity to experiment more and test alternative solutions.
The Syndicate is still the best faction to use loyal decks. Despite the Drill nerfs, the
well-known Pirate Cove is the best and most effective deck.
The bounty rework has brought a breath of fresh air, and we encourage you to test out the
bounty hunter-based variants as well.
Choose boldly, every reader will find a deck for themselves.
I’ll take in Kelly and the priestesses after work today. See you on the ladder!
We hope you will have fun with the current meta and we will see you on the top!
